What happens when I miss a check-in?

Does Beacon Safe track my location?
No. Beacon Safe never tracks or stores your location. The app only knows whether you tapped the check-in button on time. Your safety is based on a timer, not GPS.
What if my contact responds to an alert?
Each alert links to a one-tap response page. Contacts can confirm you're safe (which resolves the alert), acknowledge they got the message, say they couldn't reach you, or let you know they're checking on you. You're notified instantly when anyone responds.
Do my emergency contacts need to install the app?
No. Your emergency contacts don't need to install anything or create an account. Alerts reach them by email, text message, or phone call, and they respond with one tap on a secure web page — only you need the Beacon Safe app.
